Peace Pencil Case
Crafted by refugees from Sudan living in Egypt
Sudanese refugee women work alongside Egyptian host community artisans to create this pencil case using locally sourced materials. Each handmade piece reflects the skill, creativity and personal story of its maker.
Embroidered on the front is a quote by Mashaer, a Sudanese refugee, whose words read:
"I hope that we can return to our beautiful farms and green gardens."
Through their craft, the artisans carry forward their hopes for peace, solidarity and a brighter future.
Made in partnership with Threads of Hope.
