About the craftsmanship
Syrian refugee women in Turkey use their skills in crochet to create this beautiful ornament. “I do embroidery and crochet amigurumis. The art of amigurumi toy crochet I learned from my mother, when she was younger she used to make sweaters and booties for babiesand kids. (With this work) I feel like I'm giving something back to society and I'm filling my free time with work I love.” - Hala
