Crescent Moon Coasters

Crafted by internally displaced South Sudanese, and Sudanese and Ethiopian refugees living in South Sudan

These coasters have a beautiful beaded pattern of a crescent moon and shining stars. During Ramadan, the crescent of the new moon signifies the beginning and end of fasting. These coasters are remarkable conversation pieces that reflect traditions and exude the hope and talent of their makers.
